The building comprises of 17 storeys encapsulated by a 360 degree precast panel facade complimented by glazed curtain walls and punch windows. The building will add another 813 beds to the Adelaide student population market.
The works included a combination of curtain wall, window wall, louvres, sunshades and shop fronts, a large and complicated facade that is an example of the level of project SKY FACADES has demonstrated it can delivery safely, within the program and to a very high level quality.
A high level of focus was applied to the design and procurement of the facade glazing to ensure the glazing could be preinstalled within the structural facade precast panels off site. This procurement strategy was a must which ensured a level of comfort and risk mitigation was provided to enable the aggressive construction program to be maintained. The ground floor shopfront glazing has been designed to complement the exposed high set ceilings at the same time as providing exclusive aesthetics from the Waymouth streetscape.
