Calvary Adelaide Hospital

The new Calvary Adelaide Hospital on Angas Street in Adelaide’s CBD was constructed to replace the existing Calvary Wakefield Hospital – including its privately operated 24 hour emergency department – and the Calvary Rehabilitation Hospital at Walkerville.

The new 12-storey building offers a 340 bed capacity, and continues the work of the Sisters of the Little Company of Mary who have served the people of South Australia for over 100 years.

  • 59.9 metres high
  • 12 stories
  • 12.1K m2 facade area

SKY FACADES were involved early in the project to plan and manage facade installation on the logistically challenging tight CBD site, with difficult and complex site conditions.

The exterior facade features complex visual elements, comprised of curtain wall, precast punch windows, composite cladding, louvres and shop fronts. SKY FACADES also designed, fabricated and installed the internal glazed partitions.
